The wood hedghog (scientific name: Hydnum repandum), like the chanterelle, has spines rather than gills. The spines in this mushroom take the form of teeth. It is also known as the sweet tooth.

It is an edible mushroom. Unfortunately this was the only one I found and I did not pick it to eat.
